Core Processor Conversion Information

As Niagara Regional Federal Credit Union continues to flourish in both Niagara and Erie Counties, we find it essential to implement new, cutting-edge and user-friendly tools and services for the benefit of our membership. In order to offer these improvements, we are converting our member service system, which will be more flexible, efficient and allow our staff to serve you better! This conversion will mainly happen “behind the scenes”. You will notice no changes to your member number, routing number, checks, and Debit/Credit cards. However, you will notice some changes in the way things look, particularly in online and mobile banking. We will be communicating with you throughout this process, so look for more information via email, social media, and our website for the latest updates. Please make sure that we have your most up-to-date contact information, including phone and email to allow for a smooth transition. System Conversion FAQs

Why is Niagara Regional Federal Credit Union converting?

Lucky for us (and you!) banking technology has changed a lot in recent years. This new system will allow us to provide the seamless digital experience our members expect while improving the services that we’re able to offer our members.

Is this conversion secure?

Absolutely. You can rest assured that we have worked with our data processing and IT providers to ensure that all of your personal information and our financial data is safe and secure during this entire conversion process…and always!

How well has the conversion been tested?

The new system has been tested several times within the last few months. Our credit union has been working on this conversion for nearly a year, and our staff will be undergoing extensive training on its functionality. We anticipate there being a learning curve, as there usually is with any system conversion, so we appreciate your patience in the meantime!

Why does the conversion take multiple days to complete?

In order for us to ensure that the new program is running efficiently and correctly before it is made available to our members, it must undergo extensive testing by our staff after being implemented.  We will be closed during this time to do exactly this! We must also make sure that our staff is well-versed on this brand-new program PRIOR to the conversion date, so that is why we will limiting member services during the week of May 9th-May 13th.

Will you be open during this conversion?

We will be closed and Online Banking, mobile banking, remote deposit, and shared branch services will be unavailable from close
of business on Tuesday, May 31st. We will re-open once the conversion testing is complete on Friday, June 3rd.
